If you’re even just an occasional reader of our blog, you know that we are constantly looking for new ways to use Snipe Lights to improve your shot. Well, we’ve done it again. Through some rigorous and fun testing, we’ve come up with even more creative ways to push your skills further and keep every training session fresh with our interactive hockey game.
1. Teams of Two:
Instead of the usual 1 vs. 1 setup, try playing in teams of two. Rotate shooters so each teammate gets a turn, adding a strategic element as players work together to rack up points hitting Snipe Lights’ hockey targets. It’s fast-paced, fun, and great for both friends and team training.
2. Add a Pass Before Each Shot:
Incorporate a quick pass before every shot to build real-game habits. Whether you’re working with a partner or using a hockey rebounder (learn to make your own here!), this small tweak adds a layer of challenge and reinforces puck control under pressure.
3. Practice Mode – Hit 50 Targets Solo:
Sometimes it’s just you and your stick. Switch to practice mode and keep shooting until you hit 50 targets. No timers, no competition—just consistent, focused reps. It’s a perfect warm-up or a solo grind session to get you locked in.
4. Two-Target Focus Training:
Want to fine-tune your shooting drills? Set up just two Snipe Lights in the upper corners if you need to work on your top shelf shot or bottom corners if you’re working on those goalie’s nightmare quick, low shots. This minimalist setup forces you to dial in your aim and trains your muscle memory for these high-percentage scoring spots.
5. Create a 5-Hole Target:
One of the beautiful things about Snipe Lights is that you can always customize the target location. You’re never bound by the 4 corners. Set up a target in the lower middle of the net, right where the 5-hole opens on goalies, and master that tweener! You can also create targets below the glove and blocker spots so you’ll be ready to pounce on anything a goalie gives you during games.
With Snipe Lights, training never has to feel repetitive. These tweaks to more traditional shooting training bring new energy to every drill and give you an even bigger edge over the competition. Give these ideas a shot and keep evolving your game!
